About the position

The IT Manager RTE at Johnson & Johnson is responsible for leading the Agile Release Train (ART) to deliver value and drive continuous improvement in the company's IT solutions. This role involves coordinating and facilitating the agile delivery process for strategic projects, particularly focusing on the WMS replacement initiative. The position requires a strong background in Agile methodologies, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to optimize supply chain operations and enhance healthcare product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Agile Release Train (ART) to deliver value and drive continuous improvement.
  • Orchestrate and facilitate ART events to ensure alignment and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, and stakeholders to enable an aligned delivery framework.
  • Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using metrics to manage value flow.
  • Coach business and technical leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices.
  • Identify resource gaps and recommend solutions to address bottlenecks.
  • Maintain Agile tools and information radiators for transparency into progress and value flow.
  • Support the development of behavioral change management and training to drive process adoption.
  • Create and sustain a work environment that drives team engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive work experience in Agile product delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience overseeing release cadences and aligning solutions to a release calendar.
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating communication between stakeholders and development teams.
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of teams or serving as a Release Train Engineer (RTE).
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Kanban Management Professional (KMP) certification
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic IT technologies and processes.
  • Experience with pharmaceuticals or highly regulated industries.
