About the position

The IT Manager, also known as The Tech Operations Leader, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT operations within the organization. This role involves managing a talented team of IT professionals, developing and implementing strategic IT initiatives, ensuring the reliability and security of IT infrastructure, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives. The IT Manager will play a crucial role in driving innovation, optimizing performance, and maintaining a secure digital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, including network administrators, helpdesk support, and systems administrators.
  • Work with executive leadership to create an IT roadmap that aligns with business goals.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and software applications.
  • Establish and enforce security protocols to protect against cyber threats and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, managing budgets, resources, and timelines efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts and evaluating solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing IT teams and fostering a positive culture.
  • Ability to create and implement IT strategies, manage projects, and align technology initiatives with business goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity.
  • Proficiency in data protection protocols, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and security standards.
  • Experience managing IT budgets, negotiating with vendors, and evaluating new technology solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT management or a similar leadership role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in IT management or project management (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CompTIA IT Management) are advantageous.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems is an asset.
