About the position

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware and software management, documentation, and compliance with safety and security standards. This role involves developing strategies for IT services, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring operational efficiency within the IT department.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies, objectives, and service level agreements for IT services within the organization.
• Interpret and translate complex IT concepts for individuals of all levels of understanding.
• Anticipate organizational technology needs and create strategic solutions.
• Supervise work provided by third-party contractors or project resources.
• Manage the IT department, including staff, resources, budget, and operational efficiency.
• Prioritize daily activities of the IT department staff to meet internal customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field.
• At least 7+ years of experience in various IT functions, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with direct management of a team in an IT environment.
• Budgeting experience and IT contracts management.
• Experience with IBM (i-series; AS/400), Infor XA, Windows environment, VMWARE-based servers, MES systems, EDI support, Cyber Security, and Phone Systems.
