About the position

We are currently searching for an IT Manager to plan, direct, and manage the IT resources of the company to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations to meet current and future company requirements. The IT Manager provides company-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for networking and related functions and trains the organization in their use. This role is critical in providing network and systems counseling and guidance to company personnel, ensuring that all IT operations align with the business objectives of the organization. The IT Manager will manage third-party consultants, developers, IT resources, and project team resources. Responsibilities include creating project plans, schedules, and timelines, as well as planning and controlling internal and external resources, hardware acquisitions, and facilities to ensure consistency with the company's business plan. The role also involves directing the design, development, and maintenance of network systems and systems software into a total business system to meet the company's information needs, while also training the organization in their use. Additionally, the IT Manager will establish IT policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and safeguard information resources. The position requires administering the IT expense budget within budgetary guidelines to contribute to the cost-effective operation of the company. The IT Manager will also select, train, and motivate qualified internal/external resources to effectively carry out the company's IT functions and ensure continuity of managerial and technical skills. Maintaining knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware is essential, as is the ability to incorporate new developments into the future systems of the company. The IT Manager will develop programs and hardware systems and train the staff to ensure a cost-effective and current information system. This role also requires the professional representation of the company with customers, investors, and business partners, while practicing good housekeeping and safety habits, supporting and following company policies and procedures, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provides network and systems counseling and guidance to company personnel.

Requirements

  • Experience in assisting in the management of ERP system projects.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 5 or more years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of current network and application trends.
  • Ability to analyze information related to computer technology to assist in directing company management in the selection of software and hardware to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent training skills.
  • Ability to exercise strong judgment in analyzing, appraising, evaluating and solving problems of a difficult procedural, organizational, administrative or technical nature.
