About the position

The IT Manager at Ripple Fiber will oversee the IT operations and infrastructure, ensuring the efficiency and security of technology systems. This role is crucial for supporting the company's growth and maintaining high service delivery standards, with a strong emphasis on innovation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance, including fiber optic networks, to ensure seamless connectivity and minimal downtime.
  • Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect systems and customer data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the IT support team, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues for internal staff and external customers.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Develop and implement strategic IT initiatives aligned with company goals, leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical assistance for end users and troubleshoot computer issues.
  • Monitor the IT ticketing system and respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Install and update company software and hardware as needed.
  • Manage inventory of IT assets, provision new devices, and coordinate third party repairs.
  • Evaluate and improve IT systems to assist with the current needs of the company.
  • Automate administrative tasks and processes through PowerShell scripts.
  • Conduct training for new hires and existing staff.
  • Create step-by-step training material for end users and maintain internal IT documentation for processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT, preferably at the managerial level.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
  • Experience with fiber optic networks and related technologies is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Industry certifications and memberships a plus.
  • General IT knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365 software.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Excellent problem-solving, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
  • Networking experience.
