About the position

The IT Manager at Peabody Hotel Group is responsible for providing technical support for various computer systems and software applications used throughout the hotel. This role involves troubleshooting networking and personal computer software and hardware issues, ensuring smooth operations of IT systems, and supporting the Systems Operator as needed. The IT Manager will also oversee the IT staff and maintain documentation related to network hardware, software, and security.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for computer systems and software applications in the hotel.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
• Maintain network documentation including hardware, cabling, software, and security.
• Install upgrades and updates to network software.
• Install new or replacement computer equipment.
• Assist management staff with special projects.
• Execute all regularly scheduled operations jobs.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 2 years of computer networking experience.
• Project management skills.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest and associate information.

Nice-to-haves

• College degree in Computer Science.
• Certification of previous training in computers.
• Experience with major software applications.
• Previous guest relations training.
• Familiarity with Oracle's Opera PMS.
• Experience in implementing large scale application solutions.
