About the position

The IT Medical Data Scientist at Pozitivf Fertility is responsible for developing and managing large-scale data systems that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This role focuses on leveraging business intelligence (BI), artificial intelligence (AI), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions to create scalable data management systems. The position requires collaboration across various departments to ensure seamless information flow and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and management of statewide data systems, including BI, AI, and ERP.
  • Coordinate the development of APIs and custom integrations to connect various data sources and applications.
  • Ensure data systems are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Oversee the integration of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Develop strategies for efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval to support business operations and decision-making.
  • Implement best practices for data governance and security to maintain data integrity and compliance with medical regulations.
  • Leverage AI for business intelligence to provide actionable insights and competitive advantages.
  • Develop models and algorithms to analyze data, forecast trends, and support strategic planning.
  • Design healthcare-specific analytics solutions to improve patient outcomes and streamline operational workflows.
  • Facilitate communication and data sharing between locations to support seamless operations and patient care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to align data initiatives with clinical objectives.
  • Work closely with the IT Director/CIO to align IT special projects with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT project management, data science, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing large-scale data systems, including BI, AI, and ERP solutions.
  • Strong background in API development and custom integrations.
  • 5+ years of experience managing healthcare data systems and analytics.
  • Proficiency in data management, analytics, and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and their integration with other applications.
  • Expertise in healthcare-specific data governance, security standards, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Health Informatics or Medical Data Science.
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile) and data science (e.g., Certified Data Scientist, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist).
  • Healthcare-specific certifications such as Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or Certified Professional in Health Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
  • Fluency in Spanish.
