About the position

The IT Mergers & Acquisitions Manager at CohnReznick plays a crucial role in delivering complex client engagements focused on technology solutions for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. This hybrid position involves both remote and office work, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and community building within the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver large, complex client engagements identifying, designing, and implementing technology solutions for private equity clients.
  • Conduct pre-acquisition, buy-side software product and tech due diligence.
  • Perform pre-transaction, sell-side software product and tech due diligence.
  • Assess synergy and cost take-out related to software product and tech for acquisitions.
  • Drive post-acquisition value creation and performance improvement for acquired targets or existing portfolio companies.
  • Execute pre-acquisition IT diligence assignments focusing on business systems, IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and organizational assessment.
  • Manage interim IT management and merger-integration execution.
  • Plan and execute Day-1 and 100-day strategies, ensuring performance improvement in key areas.
  • Ensure quality of deliverables and manage day-to-day client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with at least five years in consulting for the tech industry or software/tech-enabled services.
  • Experience with private equity sponsors or related transaction/merger integration.
  • Deep functional expertise in software/product management or advisory experience from a top-tier firm.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven writing skills for polished client-facing documents.
  • Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience designing and supervising change/communications strategies.
