We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an IT M&A Manager to join the team in our Merger Integration and Carve-out Services team in one of our CohnReznick offices or remotely. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to alternate time between both remote and office. Responsibilities

  • Deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for private equity clients and their portfolio companies.
  • Conduct pre-acquisition, buy-side software product and tech due diligence.
  • Perform pre-transaction, sell-side software product and tech due diligence.
  • Assess pre-acquisition synergy and cost take-out related to software product and tech for roll-up and tuck-in acquisitions.
  • Drive post-acquisition software product and tech related value creation and performance improvement.
  • Conduct pre-acquisition IT diligence assignments focused on business systems, IT infrastructure, enterprise architecture, software development lifecycle, budgetary analysis, and organizational/personnel assessment.
  • Provide interim IT management.
  • Execute merger-integration and carve-out processes.
  • Plan and execute Day-1 and 100-day objectives, adjusting strategies or personnel as required.
  • Implement the quality of deliverables and manage day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5-8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with a minimum of five years consulting to the tech industry or specializing in software/tech-enabled services product management or software development.
  • Experience working for or with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or related transaction/merger integration experience.
  • Deep functional expertise in software/product experience, either in a software organization or related advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm, leading specialist, niche advisory firm, or Big-4 consultancy.
  • Demonstrated track record working with business leaders (Directors and above) as well as private equity deal staff.
  • Proven writing skills with a desire to produce polished client-facing documents.
  • Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
  • Specific experience designing and supervising the execution of change/communications strategy.
  • Previous strategy and change management experience.
