The Information Technology (IT) Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Analyst at Butterball, LLC is a pivotal role responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of MES applications within the manufacturing facilities. This position requires a deep understanding of MES systems, manufacturing processes, and IT infrastructure. The IT MES Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation and continuous improvement of the Company's Manufacturing Execution Systems. The role demands strong analytical skills and technical expertise, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to enhance production efficiency and system performance. In this role, the IT MES Analyst will oversee the maintenance of software, hardware, and various tools used on the production floor, including industrial computers, RF scanners, and tablets. They will handle the procurement of all MES-related hardware and manage the tech refresh and lifecycle process. The analyst will also maintain documentation for the configuration and deployment of all MES and other manufacturing-related hardware, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. The IT MES Analyst will analyze, isolate, and remediate MES and other manufacturing systems issues, troubleshooting equipment located on the production floor. They will partner with facility maintenance to ensure the completion of equipment repairs and will plan, coordinate, manage, and oversee machine and sensor integration for data collection. This includes monitoring overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), predictive maintenance, and various measurement data. Collaboration is key in this role, as the analyst will maintain open communication with Corporate Engineering, Plant Management, MES Operations Management, Continuous Improvement, and IT to identify production equipment and systems capable of MES integration. They will also manage MES upgrades and maintenance, communicate availability status with multiple departments, and coordinate testing and updates. Training users on proper MES usage and conducting audits to ensure compliance with MES procedures are also essential functions of this position. The IT MES Analyst will interpret and analyze production and MES usage data to recommend modifications for improved system performance, while also supporting and troubleshooting other plant line-of-business systems as needed. Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies will be crucial for driving continuous improvement within the organization.
