About the position

The IT Network and Database Development Consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing secure and scalable network solutions, integrating various systems and platforms, and ensuring efficient data storage and cloud integration services. This role requires a strong focus on security and compliance to protect data integrity and meet industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, scalable, and reliable organizational network based on the needs of the organizations involved.
• Link network for users across multiple locations, allowing for seamless file sharing and data storage.
• Design methodology to accommodate network growth in users, devices, and data.
• Integrate with current and future systems and software, consolidating web-based subscriptions and platforms under one entity.
• Develop and integrate systems for multiple event/ticketing/sales options with various user access levels.
• Implement data storage systems for efficient and secure file sharing, ensuring redundancy and backup solutions.
• Integrate cloud services to support remote access, ensuring security and compliance with industry standards.
• Implement hybrid cloud solutions where necessary to balance on-premises and cloud storage.
• Implement robust security measures to protect data and network integrity.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.

Requirements

• 7+ years of proven experience in network design and implementation, integrations, data storage solutions, cloud integration services, and security and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of network design, data storage systems, cloud services, and security protocols.
• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data encryption techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred.
