About the position

As an IT Network Engineer at PNC's Tempus Technologies, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure while ensuring the performance, security, and integrity of systems through proactive monitoring and automation. This remote position requires a deep understanding of network engineering principles, cloud infrastructure, and automation practices, contributing to the company's commitment to delivering exceptional payment integration technology and software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage complex network infrastructures to support business needs.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and implement timely solutions to ensure network reliability and performance.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise-level firewalls to secure the organization's perimeter.
  • Analyze requests, prepare and implement security policies.
  • Monitor logs and assist in troubleshooting efforts.
  • Design and deploy secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Security, and Compliance, to ensure seamless integration and operation of network services.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet).
  • Experience with log analysis tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK stack).
  • Experience with Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform, including virtual networks, security groups, and IAM.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for managing cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant network certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • Relevant cloud certifications for Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
