About the position

The IT Network Engineering Business Analyst Intern position at FirstEnergy offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in project management and telecommunications within the electric utility sector. Interns will actively contribute to real projects, receiving on-the-job training and mentorship while working alongside experienced professionals. This full-time, paid internship spans 14 weeks and allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, focusing on developing skills in operational technology networks.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in planning, executing, and closing SCADA telecommunications projects.
• Track material delivery schedules and adjust projects due to delivery delays and material risks.
• Facilitate communication between IT teams and present project status to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve project issues and risks.
• Maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
• Participate in training programs and shadow experienced project management professionals.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited university/college focusing on Project Management, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or other Business-related program.
