About the position

The IT / Network Technician position is a full-time role at a small woman-owned managed services company located in Teaneck, NJ. The technician will provide computer support and network services primarily to clients in the NYC and North Jersey area. The role involves both remote work and travel to customer sites, requiring a detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a desire to grow in the IT field.

Responsibilities

• Address tickets escalated from the help desk team
• Troubleshoot server and network outages according to written guidelines
• Address alerts triggered in the RMM system
• Create, modify and address support requests via the PSA system (Autotask)
• Set up, troubleshoot and monitor networks, workstations and servers
• Document customer IT configurations
• Evaluate and learn new technologies to provide the latest and best service offerings to customers
• Research and implement new technology products and tools for both the company and customers
• Take a role in improving workflows, documentation and processes
• Provide remote end user support for customers
• Answer the phone when the office administrator is unavailable

Requirements

• Experience in IT and network knowledge
• Associate's degree preferred
• Ability to travel to customer sites in North Jersey and NYC

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AutoTask PSA
• Familiarity with Datto RMM
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Experience with Duo MFA
• Familiarity with SonicWall and Meraki
• Knowledge of Webroot and Cisco
• Experience with Todyl Security cloud VPN, EDR and SIEM
• Familiarity with IT Glue
