About the position

The IT Operation Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to client users within a Japanese manufacturing environment. This role involves managing IT support operations, ensuring effective communication between stakeholders, and adhering to client instructions and dress codes. The specialist will be stationed at the client’s office site and is expected to maintain a proactive approach to service delivery, including mentoring new team members and coordinating with management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to client users as an IT Support member.
  • Manage client IT support operation related documents.
  • Understand and follow client's requests and instructions.
  • Provide support service during designated operation times as instructed by the client and/or company management.
  • Be present at the client operation site before service operation time starts.
  • Adhere to the dress code instructed by the client and/or company management.
  • Maintain proactive communication with client and company management.
  • Understand requirements and provide service based on instructions, including BYOD.
  • Read and understand company-provided documents and training materials.
  • Submit required reports and attend requested meetings and training courses.
  • Mentor and train new team members if necessary.
  • Follow team manager's requests to operate the IT operation support team.
  • Coordinate between stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years' experience of SAP operation support.
  • 2-3 years' experience of user operation support.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide resolutions.
  • Very flexible mindset and challenging personality against sudden changes in requests, workflows, or responsibilities.
  • Strong motivation to complete heavy workloads and reach goals.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project coordination between stakeholders.
  • Japanese language proficiency is preferable.
