About the position

The IT Operations Analyst at LifePoint Health plays a crucial role in supporting the primary operating and application software and hardware within the organization. This position is responsible for performing installations and upgrades of software, hardware, printers, and fax machines, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. The analyst will troubleshoot and remediate any security issues found on workstations and file servers, maintaining the integrity and security of the IT environment. A key aspect of this role includes verifying that daily file server backups are successful, which is essential for data protection and recovery processes. In addition to technical support, the IT Operations Analyst serves as a key customer contact for inquiries and the resolution of customer issues. This involves providing support for the daily operation, inspection, and maintenance of computer equipment and software. The analyst will monitor file server backups for successful completion and will troubleshoot any issues that arise, seeking assistance from appropriate personnel or vendors when necessary. The role also includes providing support for frequently used PC software and printers, along with performing PC troubleshooting to ensure that users can work efficiently. The analyst will be responsible for performing PC installations and setups, as well as software updates and installations. Analyzing and assessing interruptions in normal systems operations is a critical part of the job, and the analyst must resolve problems or seek assistance from the appropriate personnel or vendors as needed. The position may require performing installs and upgrades after hours and on weekends, ensuring that the IT infrastructure remains up-to-date and functional. Documentation is also a key responsibility, as the analyst will update and document detailed information in ServiceNow regarding open calls and service requests. Additionally, the analyst will assist in troubleshooting security and patch management issues for workstations and file servers, ensuring compliance with LifePoint standards. Proper disposal of computer equipment based on company standards is also part of the role, along with troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing defective desk phones and wireless phones. The analyst will provide support to users on basic voicemail issues and will support help desk functions as needed. Participation in an on-call rotation schedule, which includes weekends, holidays, and other necessary times, is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for daily operation, inspection, and maintenance of computer equipment and software.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent - Required.
  • Two (2) years related work experience - Required with High School level education - Preferred with Associates Degree in MIS.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Licenses: Current Tennessee or State of Residence Drivers License with clean MVR.
  • A certification, MCP - Preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree in MIS - Preferred.
