About the position

The IT Operations Analyst at Planned Systems International (PSI) will support the Army Geospatial Center (AGC) program in Fort Belvoir, VA, focusing on maintaining and managing IT operations within a classified government facility. This role involves monitoring server room environments, managing hardware allocation, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with security requirements. The analyst will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to improve operational processes and support IT logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor environmental aspects of server rooms including heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, and space management.
  • Support hardware allocation planning and space management for server rooms.
  • Develop, maintain, and update reports on used and available space in server closets and racks.
  • Work with SMEs and Logistics Specialist to ensure accurate inventory movement and equipment storage.
  • Develop and implement a lifecycle management plan for IT equipment.
  • Maintain configuration control documentation in server rooms.
  • Ensure network cabling is planned and managed according to security requirements.
  • Control closet and rack spaces according to organization SOPs.
  • Develop and maintain processes/workflow and SOPs for IT operations.
  • Coordinate operations support processes with SMEs to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Implement recommendations for improving support processes and procedures.
  • Work with SMEs to create and manage an inventory list of IT Operations documentation and SOPs.
  • Create and maintain a document repository for classified networks.
  • Maintain and track hardware and software warranties.
  • Support the Government COMSEC Custodian for IT/IS support.
  • Coordinate with IT Logistics for equipment disposal and update related documentation.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • 4+ years' experience in the Information Technology field
  • BA or BS degree in Information Technology or similar discipline
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with users and technical staff
  • Ability to multi-task effectively under pressure
  • Strong time management and resource management capabilities.
