About the position

The IT Operations Analyst at Consulting Services Group (CSG) is responsible for providing systems analysis and technical support to ensure smooth operations for clients. This role involves consulting with users to determine system specifications, maintaining and enhancing hardware, and providing training and best practices to on-site personnel. The position is customer-facing and requires a strong understanding of IT systems and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis related to system design specifications.
  • Develop detailed service reports to document service visits, issues, and troubleshooting actions.
  • Provide feedback from end-users and customers to the development team for iteration and improvement of customer products.
  • Install new products or enhance existing ones.
  • Provide application-specific training and best practices for on-site personnel.
  • Identify and troubleshoot application and application-specific hardware.
  • Conduct or schedule repairs with a remote team and customers.
  • Assist with hardware upgrades or maintenance windows.
  • Log and track maintenance activities in system-specified trackers (Jira/Wiki).
  • Verify user access requests against authorization criteria.
  • Conduct thorough validation checks to ensure compliance.
  • Grant or deny system access based on validated requests.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve access-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of access requests and approvals.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Minimum 2-4 Years of job-related experience in IT or Service Desk environments.
  • Must hold an active Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance and be SCI eligible.
  • Familiarity with macOS, Android, and iOS mobile operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting, such as DNS, DHCP, Whitelisting, and Port Security.
  • Understanding of access control procedures.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu preferred via terminal).
  • High attention to detail and adherence to protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior military experience in a cyber, signal, or IT related occupational specialty is preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Linux/Network/Security + certification(s) is recommended but not required.
  • Knowledge of network upgrades (Cisco/pfSense).
  • Ability to perform server upgrades.
  • Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Understanding of wireless access points.
