Full-time - Mid Level

About the position

At Cencora, our team members are at the heart of everything we do. We are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures, and every person here is essential to us being able to deliver on that purpose. As an IT Operations Automation Engineer/Developer II, you will be part of the IT Infrastructure Automation team, which is tasked with delivering robust, scalable, and innovative solutions to enhance day-to-day operations, improve efficiencies, and enrich incident management for our stakeholders and the business. In this role, you will lead collaborative discussions with stakeholders to ensure that their needs are fully met and, ideally, exceeded. You will be expected to proactively analyze trends to identify future opportunities that align with team and business objectives. Your responsibilities will include providing end-to-end automation solutions, from the requirement gathering and discovery phase to production rollout. As a relatively new team, you will have the opportunity to help set the team strategy and establish best practices. You will develop solutions using industry best practices while adhering to internal standards, providing technical insights during the design and development stages. Clear communication of project status, risks, and challenges with stakeholders is crucial, as is presenting iterative demonstrations to showcase development progress. You will leverage your experience to bridge the knowledge gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that solutions are built to 'fail gracefully' when encountering unexpected errors. Additionally, you will resolve defects and performance issues discovered during testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and manage rollout phases while working within project planning constraints. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying project risks and issues, communicating them to the project manager, and providing inputs to the change control process. If you are passionate about automating IT processes and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply.
