About the position

At Cencora, our IT Infrastructure Automation team plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and incident management through innovative automation solutions. As an IT Operations Automation Engineer/Developer II, you will be responsible for delivering robust and scalable automation solutions that improve day-to-day operations for our stakeholders and the business. This position requires you to lead collaborative discussions with stakeholders to ensure their needs are not only met but exceeded. You will be expected to proactively analyze trends to identify future opportunities that align with team and business objectives. Your role will involve providing end-to-end automation solutions, starting from the requirement gathering and discovery phase all the way to production roll-out. You will develop solutions adhering to industry best practices and internal standards, providing technical insights during the design and development stages. Clear communication of project status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders is essential, along with presenting iterative demonstrations to showcase development progress. You will leverage your experience to bridge the knowledge gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that solutions are designed to 'fail gracefully' in the event of unexpected errors. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving defects and performance issues discovered during testing, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and managing rollout phases. Working within project planning constraints, you will communicate any identified project risks and issues to the project manager, providing inputs to the change control process.
