The IT Operations Center (ITOC) Analyst plays a crucial role in monitoring and troubleshooting network and application alerts at UCLA. This position is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of IT infrastructure by identifying and addressing service disruptions. The Analyst will implement and manage monitoring tools, support software updates, and collaborate with various IT service teams to enhance the university's IT operations and culture.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot network and application alerts and issues.
• Identify and address service disruptions in IT infrastructure.
• Implement and manage monitoring tools for network and applications oversight.
• Analyze health and performance of network and applications, reporting on findings.
• Support the updating, troubleshooting, and installation of software on network-connected systems.
• Collaborate with IT service teams including Customer Success and Security Operations Center.

Requirements

• Experience in information technology, management, customer service, higher education, or a related field.
• Experience with network and applications monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Voyance, or Aruba AirWave.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to assess problem criticality and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
