About The Position
Grand Valley State University is seeking a full-time IT Operations Coordinator in the Information Technology division. This role is pivotal in providing support to the IT Operations and IT Leadership teams while ensuring quality customer service to the greater university community. The IT Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing office and campus events, maintaining effective communication, and supporting various logistical needs within the IT division. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders. The IT Operations Coordinator will handle scheduling for IT Leadership meetings, manage departmental logistics, and facilitate communication among faculty and staff. This includes greeting and assisting university guests, maintaining a smooth-running office environment, and coordinating departmental operations such as answering phones, routing calls, and managing email inquiries. The role also involves maintaining conference spaces, providing logistical support for events, and assisting with facility work orders. In addition to office management, the IT Operations Coordinator will assist in website management and communication support. This includes updating the Division's website content, managing social media accounts, and creating engaging digital communications. The coordinator will also conduct website analytics to track performance metrics and ensure that all content is accurate and relevant. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This position is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of the IT division and enhancing the overall experience for students, faculty, and staff at Grand Valley State University.
