About the position

Point72, L.P. is seeking an IT Operations Engineer specializing in Application Support to join our team in New York, NY. This role is pivotal in managing portfolio risk by evaluating both historical and real-time strategy performance. The successful candidate will provide essential support to the repo trading desk, the margin group, and stock loan teams, ensuring that various financial applications operate smoothly and efficiently. The position requires a proactive approach to support repo traders, ensuring that any issues are resolved in a timely manner to maintain operational integrity. In this role, you will assist the margin and stock loan teams in their daily operations, acting as a liaison between these teams and the development teams to establish proper tracking of requirements and priorities. Monitoring mission-critical workflows is a key responsibility, as you will be tasked with ensuring that service level agreements are consistently met. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our trading operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with a focus on financial applications and trading support. You will be expected to leverage your expertise in fixed income products and various programming languages to enhance our operational capabilities. This role may allow for remote work up to one day per week, providing flexibility while maintaining a strong presence in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage portfolio risk by evaluating historical and real-time strategy performance.
  • Provide support to the repo trading desk, margin group, and stock loan teams for various financial applications.
  • Support repo traders and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Assist margin and stock loan teams in their daily operations.
  • Liaise with development teams to establish proper tracking of requirements and priorities.
  • Monitor mission-critical workflows to ensure service level agreements are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience as a Front Office Support Engineer in Treasury or a related role.
  • At least 5 years of experience with fixed income products.
  • At least 5 years of experience with SQL and coding/scripting skills (C#, Python, PowerShell).
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a MS Windows Environment, .Net.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with Treasury products including Repo and Stock Loan.
  • At least 3 years of experience with DataDog monitoring tool.
  • At least 3 years of experience using a Batch monitoring/management tool.
  • At least 3 years of experience with source control and build tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, and/or Git.
