About the position

The Information Systems Sr Manager at GDIT is responsible for transforming technology into opportunities, ensuring the performance and functionality of IT infrastructure, and managing a team that provides information system solutions and technical support. This role involves overseeing the design, organization, and modification of computer systems, maintaining essential IT infrastructure, and leading initiatives to empower innovation and meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage employees providing information system solutions and technical support.
• Maintain essential IT infrastructure including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and user hardware.
• Handle critical IT tasks to provide services to customers and enable technological advantages.
• Design and support an organization's computer systems, including operating systems and business applications.
• Monitor data-center health and respond to hardware issues as they arise.
• Perform routine audits of all systems, including backups, and resolve system failures quickly.
• Manage the upgrade and management of hardware and software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in IT operations.
• Must possess a Secret Clearance and be able to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• DoD 8570.01 certification required - Security+, or higher.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Familiarity with IT systems management and operations.
