About the position

The Information Systems Sr Manager at GDIT is responsible for transforming technology into opportunities that enhance the operational capabilities of agencies. This role involves managing IT infrastructure, ensuring performance consistency, and leading initiatives to protect critical systems and assets. The Sr Manager will collaborate with IT professionals to meet customer needs and drive innovation in enterprise IT.

Responsibilities

• Manage employees providing information system solutions and technical support in various functional areas.
• Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and user hardware.
• Handle critical IT tasks to provide services that enable customers to achieve a technological advantage.
• Design, organize, modify, and support the organization's computer systems and applications.
• Communicate project status, activities, and achievements with internal and external partners.
• Monitor data-center health and respond to hardware issues; build, test, and maintain new servers as needed.
• Perform routine audits of all systems, including backups, and resolve system failures quickly.
• Manage the upgrade and management of hardware and software.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in information systems management.
• DoD 8570.01 certification required - Security+ or higher.
• Must have fully adjudicated Top Secret-SCI security clearance.
