About the position

As the IT Operations Manager at Intuitive Machines, you will oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring uptime, optimizing system performance, and maintaining security across multiple work sites. This role involves collaborating with the IT Director to design and implement network systems that meet the demands of a high-tech aerospace environment, leading a team of IT professionals, and ensuring that IT operations align with business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and databases.
  • Collaborate with the IT Director to develop and implement network and infrastructure strategies.
  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including system administrators and network engineers.
  • Ensure IT systems comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement network policies and procedures for compliance with security standards.
  • Lead network infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security through monitoring and maintenance protocols.
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure system performance, conducting regular assessments.
  • Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage the IT operations budget and track expenditures.
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management regarding IT investments.
  • Work with vendors to procure and maintain IT equipment and services.
  • Develop and enforce policies related to data privacy and IT governance.
  • Document infrastructure configurations and processes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations, network and/or infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, including servers, networking, and cloud computing.
  • Experience with operating systems (Linux, Windows) and IT security principles.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring a technical team.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with IT compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a high-security, mission-critical environment, particularly in aerospace or defense sectors.
  • Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).
  • Technical bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP.
