About the position

The IT Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and securing the IT infrastructure of an award-winning branding and illustration agency. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of IT systems across two office locations in Los Angeles, contributing to the overall success of the agency's creative endeavors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring security, performance, and reliability across all systems and networks.
  • Manage hardware deployment, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, servers, and other critical equipment.
  • Ensure robust data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Monitor and respond to security risks, implementing best practices for IT security and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and manage LAN/WAN, switches, access points, printers, and other hardware to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Manage and support user onboarding, provisioning, de-provisioning, and account creation across multiple platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing timely support to staff, contributing to the team's overall goals.
  • Work closely with internal teams to optimize IT processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or advanced coursework in information systems, computer science, or a related field is desirable.
  • Proven experience in IT operations, including security, networking, backup and disaster recovery planning, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac environments.
  • Experience with 3D-based applications and render farm architecture/workflow is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of creative industry tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear technical guidance to non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
