About the position

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) - Office of Innovation is seeking a qualified Operations Support person to enhance day-to-day operations. This role involves monitoring and correcting data within nightly ETL processes, ensuring that all tasks are completed according to established deadlines and within budget constraints. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the OMES-IS Legacy Application Development team, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department's operations. In this position, the Operations Support role will be responsible for business process monitoring, ensuring that all activities align with the agency's strategic goals and commitments. ODOT expects all vendor staff to adhere to the IT policies of the agency and the State of Oklahoma, including compliance with Information Security Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines. This includes strict adherence to policies regarding the confidentiality and protection of Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA). Candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS), along with 1-2 years of relevant experience in an Information Technology enterprise environment. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, substituting one additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education. The role requires a strong understanding of server and business process monitoring, as well as the ability to correct data errors and coordinate with business users to resolve issues effectively. Additionally, the candidate will assist in preparing program documentation to support new or enhanced systems and applications, attend working sessions for user access and security remediation, and monitor and remediate bugs discovered during testing.
