About the position

The IT Operations Technician at KXXV will play a crucial role in supporting the installation and maintenance of various employee equipment and systems, including desktop computers, mobile phones, faxes, and printers. This position involves configuring, installing, maintaining, and upgrading computer systems hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and security. The technician will administer and maintain the security of operating systems, ensuring that all systems are protected against potential threats. Additionally, the role requires the restoration of files or systems by designing, writing, and implementing effective backup procedures. In this position, the IT Operations Technician will provide operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment, which includes application servers, database servers, web servers, desktops, printers, and storage devices. The technician will also perform recovery procedures, schedule backups, and monitor batch processes to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and reliability of the IT infrastructure within the organization. The work environment is flexible, requiring the technician to be available for work during holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed. Some moderate lifting may be required, and there may be occasional overtime to address urgent IT needs. The technician must be able to work effectively in stressful situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adhering to the high-security standards set by the Scripps company.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Ability to conform to a high-security environment and execute the rules governing Scripps company security and controls policies.
  • Ability to work in stressful situations and multi-task as necessary.
