About the position

The IT PMO Project Manager at Florida Crystals is responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of transformational IT and business projects. This role involves project planning, execution, and ensuring that outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with business priorities. The candidate will work with multiple vendors and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and will report to the IT PMO organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure projects follow established IT PMO Governance and System Development Life Cycle standards.
  • Build and track the Project Plan in collaboration with the project team.
  • Drive the execution of project plans and monitor work efforts daily, identifying resource needs and performing quality reviews.
  • Track key project milestones and adjust plans/resources as needed, preparing regular status reports for stakeholders.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders regarding project scope, budget, risk, and resources.
  • Drive business process change activities for successful project implementation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate requests for changes from original specifications and assess impact on project goals.
  • Drive project scheduling, resource allocation, and financial tracking through standard project management tools.
  • Lead project Steering Committee meetings with senior leadership and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Manage Risk, Issues, Escalation, Action, and Dependency logs.
  • Maximize benefits realization through successful deployment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • BA/BS from College/University
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Project Management in IT
  • Prefer PMP certification
  • Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the SAP platform
  • Experience in change management techniques
  • Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills
