About the position

The IT Policy Analyst plays a crucial role in producing effective written communication for an IT Division within a federal government agency. This position involves collaborating with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to analyze, recommend, author, and deliver high-quality documentation, including policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). The analyst will ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and organizational standards while driving efficiency and standardization within IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, draft, and maintain IT-related policies to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and organizational standards.
  • Create strategies to educate the workforce on proposed and ongoing efforts to drive efficiency and standardize IT concepts.
  • Develop and update communication outreach SOPs, policy directives, and related processes and procedures.
  • Analyze business processes to determine documentation requirements.
  • Gather information through research, SME interviews, and review of existing documentation.
  • Write various types of documentation, including policies and operational procedures.
  • Manage regular reviews with SMEs to maintain accuracy and completeness of documents.
  • Create documents that comply with federal government standards on language, writing style, structure, and format.

Requirements
