About the position

The IT Portfolio and Program Manager at TruGreen is responsible for overseeing the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of strategic portfolios and projects. This role ensures alignment with the organization's strategy and goals while managing project managers and vendor resources to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Project Managers and vendor resources, including budget responsibility for their portfolio.
  • Oversee the overall portfolio and project definition, planning, execution, and control of multiple large or highly complex projects.
  • Establish work plans for the Portfolio, including program and project planning, resource management, and value realization.
  • Accountable for overall delivery of the portfolio, managing programs/projects as needed, and assigning tasks to project team members.
  • Conduct top-down and bottom-up analysis of project/portfolio budget and track performance using standardized KPIs.
  • Build roadmaps and resource plans for multi-year initiatives, conducting impact analysis and identifying opportunities for added value.
  • Track progress, update portfolio and project management software, and maintain communication logs with deliverables and artifacts.
  • Report issues, delays, and developments that may affect project completion, escalating problems as appropriate.
  • Adhere to project-related governance processes and assist with augmenting policies, controls, and processes established by the PMO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 6-10 years of program and project management experience.
  • 5-7 years of IT experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-4 years' experience with ERP and CRM tools like Dynamics 365 and associated integrations.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Agile Certification (CSM or similar) preferred, with strong experience in lean agile methodologies.
