About the position

The IT Portfolio Architect is responsible for leading the overall information technology architecture planning, including infrastructure strategy and architectural direction. This hybrid role involves collaborating with IT and business leaders to leverage technology for enhancing business objectives and improving customer experience. The position requires managing IT roadmaps, guiding technology direction, and leading technical teams to achieve desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Builds and grows talent in the solution architecture discipline.
  • Champions the value of architecture and communicates across the organization.
  • Manages portfolio IT roadmaps, designs, and guides technology direction.
  • Collaborates with other architects on strategy alignment across portfolios.
  • Works on highly complex projects requiring in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas.
  • Onboards and manages team members, including design and modeling of solutions.
  • Analyzes current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop improvement opportunities.
  • Assists Enterprise Architecture in developing architectural policies and standards.
  • Develops materials and presents on current and future architecture trends.
  • Coordinates with PMO, Portfolio Managers, and Product Centers on project planning.
  • Supports the portfolio and assists on complex troubleshooting.
  • Collaborates with Product Line Director and Managers around project planning and budget.
  • Drives collaboration between product lines and key departments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of Architecture or lead subject matter expert experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in supervising and leading architects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong business acumen and experience working with leadership.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile planning and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of CICD pipeline-based delivery mechanisms.
  • Microsoft Azure experience preferred.
  • Experience with troubleshooting principles and issue resolution techniques.
  • Track record of leading and delivering cost-effective solutions.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and performance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Customer Service experience preferred.
