About the position

The IT Portfolio Manager for Core Infrastructure & Enabling Services at The Ohio State University is responsible for leading complex healthcare IT initiatives within the OSUWMC. This role involves strategic program and portfolio management, team leadership, and mentoring project management staff. The position requires building interdisciplinary teams and managing the execution of strategic program objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide secondary support and backup to the IT PMO Associate Director.
  • Lead strategic program and portfolio management for complex healthcare IT initiatives.
  • Build long-term relationships and form interdisciplinary teams across patient care, research, and education.
  • Execute and deliver strategic program objectives and deliverables.
  • Mentor PMO project management staff on project and career growth.
  • Perform portfolio and program governance activities.
  • Establish organizational structure to coordinate, track, and report on multiple projects.
  • Manage competing demands of scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and organizational change management.
  • Identify programs and projects with third-party vendors and lead strategy for alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • 8 years of experience in a previous IT management role.
