About the position

The IT Procurement Manager will oversee the daily management of global software assets, ensuring compliance with software standards and licenses. This role requires a deep understanding of software license models and IT Asset Management (ITAM) best practices to optimize software usage and support corporate compliance across all locations globally. The position is contract-based with a potential for long-term extension.

Responsibilities

• Manage global software assets and ensure compliance with software standards and licenses.
• Analyze software requests and recommend best-fit licensure based on industry trends.
• Contribute to effective service delivery of software services in ServiceNow.
• Monitor license positions and ensure adherence to vendor terms and conditions.
• Identify opportunities for license reclamation and optimization.
• Automate the collection of software information to simplify processes and enhance reporting.
• Review software license requests to determine if reuse or new procurement is needed.
• Assist business representatives in understanding licensing models and allowed usage.
• Generate reports and validate user data related to software contract renewals.
• Analyze software usage trends to determine maintenance/support requirements and coordinate acquisition/renewal strategies.
• Support external software audit activities including readiness assessments and vendor coordination.
• Maintain a software asset database to track entitlements and contract details.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT procurement or software asset management.
• Certifications in SAM, ITAM, ITIL, or ITSM preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and ServiceNow Asset & SAM Pro.
• Strong understanding of software industry nomenclature and best practices in Software Asset Management.
• General knowledge of commercial terms and conditions.
