About the position

The IT Procurement Professional / Purchasing Agent / Buyer at Check Point Software Technologies is responsible for managing end-to-end indirect purchasing processes. This role involves analyzing internal business requests, enforcing procurement policies, collaborating with various teams, and negotiating with external suppliers to achieve favorable business terms. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex contracts into actionable purchasing decisions, all while providing excellent customer service in a global and culturally diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end indirect purchasing processes including internal business request analysis.
• Enforce procurement policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Finance, MIS, Legal, and Operations teams for execution of purchasing activities.
• Coordinate with external suppliers, analyze price offers, and negotiate improved business terms.
• Serve as a partner to business owners across various departments and offices in Canada, US, and Latin America.
• Break down complex contracts to translate data into actionable purchasing decisions.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of purchasing, negotiation, and project management experience preferred.
• Experience with creating and processing purchases through ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with knowledge of Networking, Data Center, Software, Hardware, and IT Services & Subscriptions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with timely execution and attention to detail.
• Self-starter with proven ability to work independently under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

• Global customer service experience in a culturally diverse setting.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understanding of customer needs, both stated and un-stated.
