About the position
The position involves managing end-to-end indirect purchasing processes at Check Point Software Technologies, a leading vendor in Cyber Security. The role requires collaboration with various internal teams and external suppliers to analyze requests, enforce policies, negotiate contracts, and make informed purchasing decisions. Responsibilities
- Analyze internal business requests for purchasing needs.
- Enforce purchasing policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Finance, MIS, Legal, and Operations teams for execution of purchasing processes.
- Coordinate with external suppliers, analyze price offers, and negotiate improved business terms.
- Serve as a partner to business owners across various departments and offices in Canada, US, and Latin America.
- Break down complex contracts to translate data into actionable purchasing decisions.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of purchasing, negotiation, and project management experience preferred.
- Global customer service experience in a culturally diverse setting with a customer-centric skillset.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with knowledge of Networking, Data Center, Software, Hardware, and IT Services & Subscriptions.
- Self-starter, very organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects with timely execution.
- Experience with creating and processing purchases through ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Understanding of customer needs (both stated and un-stated) with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently under pressure to close projects within timelines.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future.
