About the position

The IT Procurement Specialist at ICSI is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring IT hardware, software, and services for clients. This role involves collaboration with internal teams to ensure cost-effective and timely solutions, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and managing the procurement process efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers of IT hardware, software, and services.
  • Research and source IT products and services based on client requirements and specifications.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best pricing and terms for our clients.
  • Oversee the shipment and receipt of all IT equipment.
  • Organize inventory for easy retrieval and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Track inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of IT equipment.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order and delivery.
  • Track and monitor procurement spend and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities.
  • Support the implementation of new IT solutions and ensure timely delivery.
  • Stay informed of the latest trends and technologies in the IT procurement landscape.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar role, with experience in IT procurement and shipping/receiving.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure accuracy in all procurement and shipping/receiving activities.
