About the position

The Product Analyst in the IT department is responsible for overseeing product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle. This includes gathering customer requirements, defining the product vision, and collaborating with various departments to meet customer goals. The role also involves supporting the IT Product Manager in analysis, design, documentation, testing, and integration of products, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to translate healthcare business practices into operational requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develops business plans for products and facilitates all phases of the product development lifecycle including analysis, design, testing, and integration.
  • Works with team members, other departments, and upper management to develop the product strategy and roadmap for implementing releases.
  • Develops detailed requirement documents, functional specifications, and mock-ups that illustrate product ideas and concepts for stakeholders and development teams.
  • Supports timelines of product releases including testing, resources, and coordination with product sponsors.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to research solutions to existing products to enhance end user experience.
  • Works with Project and Product Managers to create status and project updates as needed.
  • Performs market research and analyzes market data, identifying product behaviors and trends.
  • Contributes to the end-to-end ownership of features from ideation through implementation and maintenance and support.
  • Works on other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a preferred focus in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Information Systems or equivalent education, training, or experience.
  • 2-5 years in a product or business analyst role.
  • Strong grasp of the product management lifecycle, superior project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop documentation and provide communication to users.
