About the position

The IT Product Analyst will work within a team of production analysts in the insurance sector, focusing on workload automation to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in business processes. This role involves managing, scheduling, and optimizing workflows while serving as a key point of contact for customer support and collaboration with business partners and application teams.

Responsibilities

  • Use workload automation software to manage and optimize business processes.
  • Build and validate job flows, calendar requirements, and scheduling criteria across platforms.
  • Ensure automated jobs comply with standards and meet processing requirements.
  • Assist application teams in defining automation requirements and scheduling activities.
  • Provide quality control and testing services during new task scheduling development.
  • Monitor and analyze business requirements to recommend improvements to automation jobs.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting workflow in a timely manner.
  • Engage with support teams to coordinate issue resolution.
  • Respond to inquiries to facilitate timely incident resolution and service requests.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining departmental procedures and best practices.
  • Recommend enhancements to improve productivity in operations and task scheduling.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data processing experience in a technical capacity.
  • 2+ years of experience using workload automation systems, specifically BMC's Control-M.
  • Proven experience with ticketing systems and workflow processes, such as Snow Ticketing System (ITSM).
  • Understanding of IT best practice methodologies like ITIL, Agile, ITSM, Six Sigma, or Lean (certifications preferred).
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, SQL, and JSON.
