About the position

The Product Manager 2 is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for collaborating with customers, various functions, and IT teams to define the direction and develop digital platforms. This position plays a crucial part in shaping the strategy and vision for the team, as well as developing and maintaining digital product roadmaps. The Product Manager 2 will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the product vision is aligned both internally and with key external partners. This role requires a strong understanding of digital product strategies and the ability to communicate these strategies effectively across the organization. In this role, the Product Manager 2 will create buy-in and alignment for the product vision, develop lifecycle and marketing plans, and define a set of high-quality, cross-functional digital products based on input from IT and customers. The position also involves developing detailed business requirements that can be translated into digital product specifications and architecture. The Product Manager 2 will manage prioritization and trade-offs among conflicting business priorities, ensuring that products meet commitments by working closely with Project Managers and IT resource managers. The role requires effective communication skills, both oral and written, and a proven ability to drive large-scale projects with high collaboration and leadership. The Product Manager 2 must be able to organize and manage multiple projects through various stages of development and approval, interact professionally at all levels of the global organization, and foster teamwork across local and globally virtual teams. Self-motivation, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm in fast-paced situations are essential for success in this position. Additionally, the Product Manager 2 should have a predisposition to continuously improve existing procedures and a desire to create user instruction documents.

Responsibilities

  • Create buy-in and alignment for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

Requirements

  • 4 year degree; or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 4 years in a functional leadership capacity
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines
  • Experience with user-driven, digital and IT strategy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
  • Ability to perform work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Experience providing leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
  • Ability to act as a lead or first-level supervisor
