About the position

E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking an IT Product Manager for Utilities T&D (Transmission and Distribution) to oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle management for their assigned product line. This role involves collaborating with leadership to address business challenges, developing strategic roadmaps, and managing the system development life cycle. The individual will act as a liaison between IT and other business units, ensuring successful project delivery and alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform project planning (scope, schedule, budget), analysis, estimation, design, evaluation, demonstration, construction, and implementation for multiple concurrent initiatives with medium or high complexity.
  • Ensure outcomes satisfy business requirements and project deliverables meet quality targets.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on progress to management and clients.
  • Lead forecasting, financial management, change management, risk management, and project tracking/controls for assigned projects.
  • Manage the development and periodic refresh of the strategic roadmap within the product line.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new technology requests within the assigned product line.
  • Develop the business case for each initiative to help leadership make educated decisions on project priorities.
  • Partner with product owners to curate the product backlog to maximize business value.
  • Manage project teams to ensure initiatives stay within allocated budget (both capital and O&M).
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and communicate status of issues to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in IT product management, specifically in Utilities T&D (Transmission and Distribution).
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to reconcile forecasts with actuals and provide detailed variance explanations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into actionable product plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with vendor management and negotiation.
