About the position

The IT Product Manager III will lead the Payments team in defining and executing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to oversee the lifecycle of payment-related projects, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with business goals. The manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, utilize data analytics for decision-making, and focus on risk management to enhance the payment platform's functionality and security.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the payment team.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of team projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for systems and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Work closely with engineering, design, and business teams to gather requirements and prioritize features.
• Utilize data analytics and stakeholder feedback to inform product decisions and measure success.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with backend development, including technical debt and system vulnerabilities.
• Act as the voice of the customer within the payment team, ensuring technical solutions meet user needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven product management experience.
• 4+ years of experience in agile software development processes, including writing stories/epics and managing a backlog.
• Detail-oriented technical product management skills to explain technical changes to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent time management skills for planning and prioritizing work.
• Strong communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous Payment or Financial Services experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform product decisions.
