About the position

The IT Product Manager is responsible for the product strategy and delivery of business systems solutions that align with the strategic objectives of the business product owner and key stakeholders. This role collaborates with the business product owner to develop a roadmap of prioritized functional capabilities, ensuring that the product maximizes value and meets quality standards. The IT Product Manager oversees the product backlog, facilitates agile processes, and provides leadership to the IT delivery team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the 'voice of the product' for the IT delivery team, representing the needs of the business product owner and stakeholders.
  • Act as Product Manager for 1+ Products, contributing expert functional knowledge and recommending solutions for complex business processes.
  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of business needs and requirements through interviews, workshops, and presentations.
  • Manage and maintain a transparent product backlog, continually balancing priorities based on key product objectives.
  • Participate as a member of the agile team, overseeing the definition of epics and stories including acceptance criteria.
  • Interact with diverse stakeholders, including senior management, business and technology teams, customers, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Drive cohesion across the team and provide leadership on prioritized deliverables, adapting to changing user needs.
  • Oversee agile SDLC activities, including planning, refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Provide support for iteration planning and refinement of user stories, spotlighting inter-dependencies among cross-product teams.
  • Deliver functional documentation, training, and support for systems solutions.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate IT delivery team members, influencing positive actions and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • 3-5 years of relevant Product Management experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in process design, roadmap creation, business requirements, technical requirements, or project management.
  • Broad experience in retail, wholesale, distribution, and/or relevant functions.
  • Agile delivery experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate business and technical information clearly and persuasively to mid- and senior-level leaders.
  • Attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to work in a result-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of product delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using analytic frameworks.
  • Ability to act as a positive change leader.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $80,000-$95,000 with bonus eligibility.
