About the position

The IT Product Manager is responsible for the product strategy and delivery of business systems solutions that align with the strategic objectives of the business product owner and key stakeholders. This role involves collaborating with the business product owner to develop a prioritized roadmap of functional capabilities, maximizing the value of the product, and overseeing the IT delivery team's efforts. The position requires managing the product backlog, ensuring quality in delivered solutions, and providing leadership within an agile framework.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the voice of the product for the IT delivery team, representing the needs of the business product owner and stakeholders.
  • Manage 1+ products as the Product Manager.
  • Collaborate with the business product owner to recommend solutions that enable complex business processes.
  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of business needs and requirements.
  • Maintain a transparent product backlog and balance priorities based on key product objectives.
  • Participate in the agile team to define epics and stories, including acceptance criteria.
  • Oversee the creation of technical and user requirements along with data requirements.
  • Interact with diverse stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
  • Drive cohesion across the team and provide leadership on prioritized deliverables.
  • Oversee agile SDLC activities, including planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Deliver functional documentation, training, and support for systems solutions.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate IT delivery team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related fields or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • 3-5 years of relevant Product Management experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in process design, roadmap creation, business requirements, or project management.
  • Broad experience in retail, wholesale, distribution, and/or relevant functions.
  • Agile delivery experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate business and technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to work in a results-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of product delivery methodologies.
  • Problem-solving skills using analytic frameworks.
  • Ability to act as a positive change leader.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a consulting role within IT product management.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and frameworks.
