About the position

The Senior IT Product Manager at Motion Industries is responsible for leading the delivery of modern IT product solutions. This role focuses on developing a high-performing team that collaborates to provide continuous customer value and meet business objectives. The manager will synthesize market research, define product strategies, and ensure alignment with corporate goals while utilizing agile methodologies to enhance product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team members in gathering customer requirements.
  • Synthesize market research to develop a product strategy that aligns with customer needs.
  • Define areas of collaboration with other parts of the IT organization.
  • Influence the delivery of innovative product solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal business teams to deliver valuable products from ideation to implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to utilize technology for business process efficiency.
  • Develop and empower a high-performing product management team.
  • Complete performance reviews for direct reports and provide training.
  • Set priorities and assist with workload planning.
  • Conduct research for build versus buy and identify third-party products.
  • Develop and implement processes and standards using agile best practices.
  • Plan and communicate new product capabilities through product roadmaps.
  • Utilize SAFe agile techniques to evolve product strategy and roadmaps.
  • Become a subject matter expert within Motion and the associated domain.
  • Work with other product managers to develop integrated solutions.
  • Synchronize with agile development teams to provide business context.
  • Monitor business KPIs and measure the effectiveness of product enhancements.
  • Provide executive-level status on major initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Eight or more years of related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Four or more years of managerial/leadership experience.
  • Expertise in market and business environment.
  • Significant knowledge of agile methodologies, practices, and tools.
  • Extensive experience in defining and building product vision and roadmaps.
  • Strong management experience in Information Systems.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Passionate about learning the business and growing the team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Distribution and Industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Experience with Agile product management frameworks and tools such as SAFe, Aha!, and Azure Dev Ops.
