About the position

The IT Product Manager at CommonSpirit Health is responsible for managing medium to high complexity projects related to application design and configuration. This role involves interacting with user communities to gather business requirements, translating technical requirements, and collaborating with product engineers to achieve business objectives. The position also includes developing test plans, leading product release management functions, and ensuring effective communication across teams and management levels.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver project assignments of medium to high complexity including application design and configuration build.
  • Interact with the customer user community to secure business requirements and perform technical requirements translation.
  • Develop test plans for new application functionality from an application/technical perspective.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and provide guidance on function testing.
  • Engage in problem management activities, performing diagnosis and troubleshooting for medium and high complexity issues.
  • Complete tasks and associated documentation within committed timeframes, effectively communicating across teams and management levels.
  • Participate in technical analysis discussions and assist with conducting review sessions for approvals.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge management solution and lead transition to operations functions post-implementation.
  • Lead Product Release management functions including developing test plans and facilitating end user acceptance testing.
  • Develop overall project task lists, estimates, and resource plans for small to medium scale projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Medical, Business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 4-5 years' experience working in IT as an Application Systems Analyst or Technical Analyst role.
  • 2 or more relevant technical/professional security certifications preferred.
  • Experience working with project life cycle or project management methodologies required.
  • Experience with DWP & ServiceManagement Products such as ServiceNow, Zoom, Google, Microsoft O365 is required.
  • 4 or more years' experience in application support, implementation or development in a hospital or medical related industry is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Excellent writing/documentation and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule and meet deadlines is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced understanding of technology projects and concepts as they relate to high level business objectives.
  • Ability to present technical concepts to both IT and non-IT audiences in a concise manner.
  • Operational knowledge of interfaces/EDI, APIs, and evolving technology is desired.
  • Ability to lead discussions with application and project teams to define testing scenarios and scripts.
