About the position

The IT Product Manager at OmniCable is responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to define and implement IT project needs. This role involves managing multi-phased projects, ensuring successful delivery of solutions, and providing direction to cross-functional teams. The IT Product Manager will work closely with both technology and business partners to meet project deliverables and resource commitments, while also identifying and managing project risks and issues.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
  • Identify project stakeholders and establish customer classes and their characteristics.
  • Conduct research on products to meet requirements and support purchasing efforts.
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for project direction.
  • Interpret customer requirements into feasible options and communicate back to stakeholders.
  • Direct technological research by studying organization goals and user projects.
  • Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
  • Recommend IT strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating outcomes and anticipating requirements.
  • Guide and coach the IT Team on Agile practices to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Facilitate and support all Agile events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of technology product or project development experience, preferably on an Agile team.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Professional Project Management Certification from an accredited institution preferred.
  • SCRUM or similar level of certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing talent in the technology department.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
