About the position

As the IT Product Owner for Workday, you will play a vital role in being the conduit between IT, HR, Finance and the Business to both strategically leverage and drive optimal performance in the Workday system. This is a hybrid position based out of our office in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary Workday product owner, managing system functionality, integrations with various other systems, troubleshooting, and enhancements
  • Prioritize and oversee Workday upgrades, enhancements, and system updates in alignment with business needs and HR objectives
  • Collaborate with HR and business stakeholders to ensure the Workday system aligns with and supports HR and overall business goals
  • Analyze, document, and translate HR business requirements into effective system configurations in partnership with the HRIS team within Workday
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis on HR process and system issues, providing actionable solutions to stakeholders
  • Lead Workday-related projects from concept through implementation, including change management, training, and support
  • Develop and execute test plans for system changes to ensure alignment with business needs and identify potential issues
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within system workflows
  • Design and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields, providing insightful HR metrics and analytics
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency within Workday, implementing data governance best practices
  • Support HR leadership with actionable insights derived from Workday data to drive strategic decision-making

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related area of study
  • 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Product Owner or HRIS role with significant exposure to Workday
  • Advanced skills in Workday reporting and analytics; experience managing enhancements across multiple functions
  • Proficiency in project management with experience leading complex system integrations and implementations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively
  • Detail oriented and committed to data integrity and accuracy
