About the position

The IT Professional 2 position focuses on application development and analysis within the Health and Human Services Department. The role involves analyzing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and modifying various IT systems and applications, particularly in relation to the CORE.NV ERP Implementation team. The incumbent will work on developing integrations, creating reports, and performing technical duties related to the project, while also potentially leading lower-level IT staff.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and information security.
• Develop integrations or interfaces between the CORE.NV ERP system and various legacy or external applications.
• Create Power BI reports and other reports or forms as needed.
• Develop test scripts and conduct testing of various technical aspects of the system.
• Write PL/SQL code and work with Oracle database and data warehouse objects.
• Perform other technical or analytical duties as needed for the CORE.NV Project.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a closely related field.
• Two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position, including computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, or information security.
• OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service.
• OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service.
• OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience developing interfaces/integrations between disparate business applications.
• Experience with business application design and development.
• Experience with Oracle database and data warehouse design, development, and SQL coding.
• Experience migrating or converting data between various data sources/databases.
• Experience with Power BI Report Builder.
